Wyoming Sports Betting Bill is passing the Senate, likely on its way to governor soon

Wyoming Sports betting is a few last steps away from reality.

Wyoming HB 133 made its way through that senate, received a 24-5-1 Consent vote on Monday.

The House I’m going to ask for approval now and probably accept the Senate’s small changes. The calculation then continues Governor Mark Gordon for a signature.

A target start date of September 1 was agreed by Wyoming Gaming Commission director Charles Moore in a committee hearing.

Surprising trip to Wyoming for admission

Earlier this month the House initially voted against the bill.

A co-sponsor of the bill, Landon Brown MP, then asked for the vote to be re-examined while making sure that all issues were resolved. It passed 32-28.

The bill then sailed through that Senate Budget Committee and faced little opposition throughout the Senate. Small changes have been made to ensure consistency among applicants for gambling licenses when the state opens its gambling regulations.
